Big, rich and complex, but also with finesse, texture and elegance.

Ben’s winery in South Australia is positioned at the premium end of the ladder, and uses his extensive contacts with growers to pick exceptional fruit from the Adelaide Hills, Clare Valley, Barossa Valley, Coonawarra and McLaren Vale

Ricky, also co-founder of Ponting Wines – a passion that celebrates his lifetime of commitment, dedication and achievement.

Each wine reflects Ricky’s life and has been carefully crafted by Ben to ensure flavour, structure and complexity are of the highest quality.

"Since we first met, Rianna has been very influential in broadening my exposure to wine. Together we share a passion for wine and like most , we both enjoy relaxing on a weekend afternoon together with a glass of wine." - Ricky Ponting

The Tasmanian Chardonnay and the Mowbray Boy Pinot Noir are born from Ricky’s love of Tasmania. These wines acknowledge his family heritage and his formative years at the Mowbray Cricket Club as a child protege.

The Pinnacle McLaren Vale Shiraz honours the most famous of all cricket battles, the Ashes. As does Ricky's 127 Shiraz, his first Ashes Test and his maiden test century.

The Close of Play Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine of great character and style. A wine that acknowledges the special moments with teammates, and raising a glass with team mates at the close of play.

Ricky Ponting is one of the most successful cricketers of all time. After making his first-class debut at the age of 17, Ricky went on to become the most successful Australian cricket captain of all time, with results including a five-nil whitewash of England in the 2006/07 Ashes series.

Ricky was a member of three World Cup winning teams including two as captain, and he remains Australia’s leading run scorer in Test and ODI cricket

Since 2002 Ricky and his wife Rianna have raised more than $10 million to help young Australians and their families beat cancer. In 2008 Ricky and Rianna established the Ponting Foundation to provide focus to their fundraising efforts. Ricky’s philanthropic efforts and sporting achievements were recognised in 2012 when Ricky was awarded an Order of Australia honour.
