ESTATEPINOT NOIR

ADELAIDE HILLS | SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Strawberries, cream with hints of forest floor. Hmmmm

Dark cherry and rhubarb over layers of mushroom and truffle.

A wine that marries a pretty disposition with structure and savoury texture. A light red in the glass with dark cherry and rhubarb on the nose that is joined by undergrowth and gentle spice.

TASTING NOTES

The palate is seamless and elegant. Red fruits with enticing gamey characters swirl within layers of mushroom and notes of fresh herbs. The French oak adds ample but delicate tannins delivering a generous delightful length.

"Very intense and fresh red-cherry and raspberry aromas here,

as well as some floral and oak spice. A very smooth, soft and fleshy feel with ripe red cherries in abundance"

Vineyard | The property at Mappinga Road in the Adelaide Hills is at 355m-391m above sea level but in a ultra-cool basin of the Mount Lofty ranges. This means that whilst there are higher altitude vineyards, the cool air drops into our basin and makes it one of the coldest vineyards in the Hills.

FRAMED BY RED CHERRY

The palate is framed by red cherry and rhubarb fruit that is interjected by gentle spice and layers of wet earth and understated savoury impact. Tannins are compact, but grow in stature and will underwrite plenty of future development, to close dark cherry is lifted by subtle spice before a drying, long finish"
