TASTING NOTES

The Gaffer Shiraz is a testament to the best of McLaren Vale.

A medium weight Shiraz, the style of The Gaffer is soft, flavoursome, and fruit driven.
Distinctive McLaren Vale characteristics shine through with a spine of
sweet, soft, warm tannins whilst on the palate is crunchy, bright, red berries.

“Sweetly ripe and perfumed showing Black Doris plum, raspberry, subtle game and assorted nut aromas, leading to a delightfully flavoursome palate delivering succulent fruit intensity and silky texture backed by fine tannins.

RASPBERRY, BLACKBERRY

and currant aromas enliven things as the wine breathes. Hints of bitter chocolate and coconut add dimension, but no one characteristic stands out, everything is harmony. It's smooth and generous in the mouth, ripely-flavoured and complete, with an attractive toasty thread running through the balanced, dry finish"
